The following weather and travel advisory has been issued for Muskoka and area by Environment Canada.

Bracebridge - Gravenhurst - Huntsville - Baysville - Port Carling - Port Severn - Town of Parry Sound - Rosseau - Killbear Park

Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect from late morning into this evening.

A strengthening low pressure system is expected to bring significant snowfall to the region beginning late this morning or this afternoon. Very heavy snowfall rates with poor visibility are likely for a few hours this afternoon. Some blowing snow is also likely. The precipitation should diminish to light snow or freezing drizzle tonight.

Some areas may receive total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm by late this evening, with the bulk of the snow falling this afternoon.

Travel on roads will likely become hazardous.
