John Amardeil is a developer looking to build up to 50 rental units on Woodward Street in Bracebridge named the Woodward Rental Project.

He will be applying for rezoning soon and is hosting a public open house on Friday Feb. 21 at 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Knox Presbyterian Church at 120 Taylor Road.

"All are welcome to come learn about this proposal. Will also be taking names of interested prospective tenants," said Amardeil. He adds that flyers have also been delivered to 100 neighbours regarding the Woodward Street/ Birch Street redevelopment.

Amardeil said the units "are planned to be all net zero ready; attainable - not affordable, 40 percent of units is to be accessible. All are low impact, which means environmental."

He confirmed that "rentals today would be $1,100 for one bedroom and $1,500-$1,600 for two bedroom."
