TLDSB: OSSTF sets Jan. 21 as Strike Day if an agreement with the ministry isn’t reached

Parents of Trillium Lakelands District School Board secondary school students received the below notice of a strike day on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

“The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) has announced that Trillium Lakelands District School Board secondary school teachers and education workers will again participate in a provincial rotating one-day strike (full withdrawal of services) on Tuesday, January 21 if an agreement is not reached with the province by this date.

If this one-day strike takes place, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) secondary schools, as well as Adult and Alternate Education Centres will be closed to students on Tuesday, January 21st. Schools will open again for students on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

Please note, elementary schools are not affected by this possible one-day strike.

You will receive communication again on Friday and on Monday if a provincial agreement is not reached and the one-day strike is going to proceed.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to work to support our students and their families. To find out the status of labour action in TLDSB visittldsb.ca/labour-updates.
