MUSKOKA - Trillium Lakelands District School Board has updated their Code of Conduct to specifically address restrictions around the use of cell phones in schools.
As per the requirement from the Ministry of Education all school boards were to update their Code of Conduct policies to include personal mobile devices. The Trillium Lakelands District School Board code of conduct now includes the following:
“The use of personal mobile devices during instructional time is not permitted unless under the following circumstances:
For educational purposes, as directed by an educator;
For health and medical purposes;
To support special education needs”
TLDSB is asking parents to ensure that their child is aware of the restrictions on the use of cell phones during instructional time.
TLDSB is advising to forward any questions to your child’s school.
